Redwood Park is a secondary special school located in Highbury. The school provides a safe and stable learning environment for young people with learning disabilities and complex needs including Moderate Learning Needs MLD), Speech and Language Communication Needs (SLCN) and Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
The purpose of this brief was to rebrand the school bringing in a neutral colour palette that was more sympathetic to the pupils stimulation requirements and their learning needs. The aim was to bring a calmer appearance but modernise the logo, whilst retaining the reference to the original Redwood tree.
The finished logo was an abstract tree symbol utilising the R and P letters. In order to continue the traditional imagery of the Redwood tree we decided to use this as a background element instead. The final logo works well alone or stripped back as a standalone icon for uniforms.
