One of the benefits of being a graphic designer is getting to design your own wedding stationery, so here’s a few images from ours back in October. The themes for the design were: rustic, whimsical, woodland, mismatched and animals…
Most of the inspiration for the design and colour palette came from the reception venue, a stylish boutique gastropub nestled in the South Downs. I used a palette of grey, teal and brown with accents of copper, gold and black. The animals continued with the taxidermy theme within the venue and I spray painted gold animals to sit with sawn oak slabs, traditional wooden games and simple candles.
Table names drew on our love for music so featured bands and songs with animals in the title, Love Cats, Hound Dogs, Buffalo Soldiers, Crazy Horses, March Hares, Fleet Foxes and The Eagles.
The overall effect was a super laid back, warm and loving vibe which was exactly what we wanted for the day.
Basically like one of the best nights you’ve ever had, down the pub with your mates!
